With the sun beaming down on me, I jumped off the porch with joy. Today marks the beginning of my college journey, a new chapter filled with endless possibilities. It feels like just yesterday I was dreaming of turning my passion for art into a successful business, tucked away in a small room with nothing but determination. Reflecting on how far I’ve come over the past four years fills me with an overwhelming sense of pride and fuels the fire to keep moving forward. With each step I take, I am filled with the belief that great things await me.
The First Day
Striding with confidence down the leaf-littered sidewalk, I embraced autumn’s allure. My black trench coat brushing against my signature red boots to start my day off right. The trees created a blend of red, orange, and gold, in the wind. Each step towards the doors of college instilling a surge of purpose within me. An echo of determination in my mind, a reminder of my unwavering resilience. ‘I will get this done, no matter what it takes’ I thought to myself. The warm sun kissed my skin, almost to let me know that she’d still be there for me when the day is done. With each breath closer, a profound sense of connection washed over me. This is where I need to be right now, even if I don’t know why just yet. Moving forward is what I’ve taught myself to do. I seized the magic of the season, capable to give my life purpose. This is just the beginning.
The Existential Studies
In a world full of parabolas and tectonic plates, I choose art, activism, and philosophy. Money doesn’t matter; what matters is the sheer joy of creation. High school couldn’t contain my passion for existentialism, philosophy, and art. As the weeks roll on in existential studies, excitement builds when the “Existentialist Parking Lot Pop Up” is announced throughout the whole school. Armed with my pen and notebook, I’m ready to embrace the college experience. Life is too short to conform; so I will make my mark.
